A line of parts needed to be developed specifically for his car as the beatings they take are unbelievable in short course racing. So we had to develop a part to replace the factory bulkhead, build something stronger, but a bulkhead that wasn't going to weigh much more than stock. What we came up with was our MOAB (mother of all bulkheads) bulkhead. This is built from 3 different pieces of grade 50 steel, CNC formed and then welded together. We bump formed the front edge to mimic the shape of the factory tube while adding double the rigidity and strength that the tube offers. We thought of every way that the force would be transmitted through this and added strength to the areas that needed it, and took material away where we could afford it to additional drop weight. The MOAB has been abused over and over in TORC, LOORS, Champ, GNCC, the desert and multiple other places, and is holding strong and still looks great. We spent some time converting it over to a production part that is affordable to everyone, not just factory racers. There are (5) 1/4-20 weld nuts on the inside of the bulkhead that allow people to attach an extended slide plate or gravel guard.
